Christianity entered Rome in 380 AD. Christians were disliked by romans mainly because they did not want to worship the roman emperors as gods. The romans were willing to accept other gods in places they conquered. When the new emperor came into powere set the official dislike for Christians. He was thought to have set a fire in Rome that killed thousands of people to get rid of the slums and their occupants.
